In light of the current economic climate, the 3^rd Annual Mid-South Transportation & Parking Association (MSTPA) Conference, slated for March 10-11, has been cancelled.

Despite the organization’s resurgence and growth, the Board of Directors recognizes the challenges of the recession and its far-reaching impact. Many in the industry are dealing with budget cuts and travel restrictions, which could negatively impact networking opportunities. Ultimately, the Board decided that it would be in the best interest of the organization and its members to cancel the conference.

The Association remains committed to professional growth, development, and networking among transit and parking professionals in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee and adjacent states. The Board of Directors is currently working on educational outreach programs for the coming year. More details will be announced at a later date. At this time, the Board plans to resume the annual conference in 2010. We all hope that the economic outlook will improve by then.
