WELCOME

Welcome to the Mid-South Transportation and Parking website. MSTPA provides economical, educational, and professional networking opportunities for transportation and parking professionals in the mid-south region and beyond. We are comprised of universities, municipalities, private operators, and other vendors.

We had a great conference in Louisville, Kentucky this year. The Brown Hotel served as a great host for our conference. We were thrilled to have Cindy Campbell, from IPI, to lead our customer service training classes. We had close to 70 attendees for these sessions. Mike Tudor and the PARC staff in Louisville did an amazing job with the tours and the dinner at the Ali Center. We appreciate Tiffany Smith stepping in for the Mayor and delivering our keynote address.  The 2016 conference was one of the best we have had according to attendee’s surveys.

Our 2016 conference was the last conference for Lance Hale from Vanderbilt University. Lance has taken a position at Northwestern University. Also late last year Gary Means, Executive Director of Lexpark, resigned from the MSTPA board to assume his position on the IPI Board of Directors. We appreciate the time and energy that both put into the MSTPA organization. We are glad to welcome Steve Hernandez and Don Andrae to our Board of Directors. Steve is a Director of Municipal Services with SP+. Don is the Manager of Parking Services for Auburn University.

We are also currently preparing for the 2017 spring conference. It will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee March 13-15. The conference will be held at The Crowne Plaza in Downtown Knoxville. We are excited to announce that we will have our Monday Dinner at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame located in Downtown Knoxville. We will also have Vanessa Cummings leading a customer service session during the conference. Our keynote speaker will be Heath Eslinger, Head Wrestling Coach at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, who is a dynamic speaker and will talk to us about “A Better Way”. There are many fine shops and restaurants that are located one block from the hotel in the Market Square area of Downtown that should not be missed. We look forward to seeing you there.

Best Wishes
